التقى وزير الاقتصاد والتجارة أمين سلام وزير الخارجية التركي رئيس اللجنة اللبنانية التركية المشتركة سليمان صويلو، في إطار مشاركته في منتدى الدبلوماسية في إيطاليا، وتباحثا في سبل تطوير العلاقات الثنائية في مختلف المجالات وخاصة الاقتصادية والتجارية. كما تطرقا إلى آخر المستجدات الإقليمية وانعكاساتها على الدول منطقة الشرق الوسط، وتحديدا تحديات الأمن الغذائي والتي يواجهها لبنان نتيجة الحرب الروسية الاوكرانية. 
 
وأكد صويلو لسلام دعم دولة تركيا الدائم للبنان، “لا سيما في ظل هذه الظروف الاستثنائية التي يمر فيها”، وكشف لسلام ان “تركيا سترسل تباعا الى لبنان أكثر من 500 الف طن من المساعدات الغذائية بما فيها حليب الأطفال، الطحين، السكر، الحبوب وزيت دوار الشمس”.
 
من جهته، شكر سلام لدولة تركيا “كل العناية التي توليها للبنان وللبنانيين”. واتفق الوزيران على موعد قريب لاجتماع في بيروت ستعقده اللجنة المشتركة التي يرأساها.<\/p>
