أعلن صندوق النقد  الدولي التوصّل إلى اتفاق مع الحكومة اللبنانية على مستوى الموظفين بشأن السياسات الاقتصادية، من أجل تسهيل تمويل من الصندوق لمدة أربع سنوات.<\/p>

وصاغت السلطات اللبنانية، بدعم من خبراء صندوق النقد الدولي، برنامج إصلاح اقتصادي شامل يهدف إلى إعادة بناء الاقتصاد، واستعادة الاستدامة المالية، وتعزيز الحوكمة والشفافية، وإزالة العوائق التي تحول دون نمو فرص العمل، وزيادة الإنفاق الاجتماعي وإعادة الإعمار.<\/p>

ويخضع البرنامج المتفق عليه لإدارة صندوق النقد الدولي وموافقة المجلس التنفيذي، ووافقت السلطات اللبنانية على القيام بالعديد من الأمور الهامة الإصلاحات قبل اجتماع مجلس إدارة صندوق النقد الدولي.<\/p>

وقد يلقى برنامج صندوق النقد الدولي للبنان دعماً من اتفاق تمويل مدته 46 شهراً مع إمكان الحصول على 3 مليارات دولار تم طلبها.
كما سيكون تمويل الدعم بشروط ميسرة للغاية من شركاء لبنان الدوليين ضروريّاً لدعم جهود السلطات وضمان تمويل البرنامج بشكل كافٍ ويمكنه تحقيق أهدافه.
واستجابة لطلب من السلطات اللبنانية، قامت بعثة من صندوق النقد الدولي بقيادة إرنستو راميريز ريغو بزيارة بيروت، في الفترة من 28 آذار إلى 7 نيسان، لمناقشة دعم صندوق النقد الدولي للبنان ولإصلاح السلطات الاقتصادية الشاملة.<\/p>
