وخلال اللقاء، تم البحث في المستجدات الراهنة، لا سيما الأوضاع الأمنية والمعيشية في منطقة الشمال وإمكان إنشاء مستشفى عسكري في منطقة عكار لتسهيل استشفاء العسكريين.

كما استقبل منسى عددا من الضباط المتقاعدين، وتم البحث في حقوق العسكريين المتقاعدين ووجوب إنصافهم.

وأكد وزير الدفاع حرصه على “متابعة أوضاعهم المعيشية والعمل على تحقيقها في أسرع وقت ممكن، متمنيا عليهم “توحيد الصفوف من أجل تحقيق مطالبهم”.

واستقبل منسى، حسان البشراوي على رأس وفد من عشائر البقاع الشمالي، وتم التداول في مجمل الأحداث الأمنية التي حصلت في المنطقة في الفترة الأخيرة.

وأكد منسى “ضرورة البقاء إلى جانب الجيش اللبناني لتعزيز الأمن في المنطقة وتكثيف الجهود لضبط الحدود الشمالية والشمالية الشرقية”.
